The table is 28" X 61/4" and has 14" of vertical travel, 151/2" side to side and 51/2" front to back. The vertical spindle I have the "Senior Vertical Head" doesn't have a quick feed handle. It's a simple mechanical bolt on accessory, I will try and get some pictures of it today.

The Tom Senior light vertical which the museum inherited had a MT2 spindle powered by a 1/2hp motor, and I converted it to R8 to share tooling with the other mill on the shop. I changed the motor to a 3 phase six pole ao 1hp run through a vfd programmed from 25 to 75 Hz to add versatility to the 4 speed belt drive.

The problem with vertical milling on the TS using the knuckle head is you have very little room under the tool, not much travel in the zaxis. I might get pulled up on this, but horizontal milling is like using a shaper, consigned to history.
