3k. Posted September 14, 2013. Actually the dynamic chaining in x5 was a bit of a brain teaser. In X6 they introduced the whole machining/avoidance region ndialog. I'd stick to Dynamic core for outsidein situations, dynamic area for closed pockets and features, dynamic rest, and dynamic contour.

There is a way to create plunge toolpaths in Mastercam that uses the legacy Ruled wireframe toolpath. I wrote a tutorial with a sample program for it back for version X6. Posted June 7, 2012 Hello all, New here on the forums. In the process of learning Mastercam X6, and I'm getting stumped by a simple part. I made a part just to test milling a curvebottomed pocket. It has a square and a circle too, and those are recognized no problem.

If your doing holes with and end mill then the fastest way is to do a helical bore. Yes X6 will support it. This is your fastest method. Making round holes using pocket is amateur. Sorry but it's true. The fastest way to produce these holes would be to use a udrill close to size of the finished hole and depth then run a helix.
